2 Girls 3 Eyes
Improv Comedy Troupe
Artistic Director: Bob Wood
I performed with this high-energy improv team at Relapse Theatre almost every Friday night for five years and over 230 performances. The format of the audience-interactive show was baudy, game-inspired, improvisational comedy with an emphasis on emotion-driven characters at the core of the scenes. Fast-paced and live, the show raced performers through a variety of characters, games, and scenes like a 90 minute roller-coaster ride.
Originally known simply as the Relapse Players back in 2005, the troupe began weekly shows in February 2006. Then, as the theatre grew and other teams began performing there regularly, the troupe was re-branded to distinguish the theatre from teams. It was re-christened in June 2008 as "2 Girls 3 Eyes" ― after one of the troupe members suffered an eye injury. By 2010 I was doing double Friday shows, at 8:00 pm and 10:30, often wrapping after midnight. It was exhausting, but a thrilling experience.
