GTE Laboratories

GTE Laboratories was the research division of GTE (General Telephone and Electric until 1982, it became Bell Atlantic in 2000 and later merged into Verizon). I worked at their Waltham Massachusettes headquarters under their Industrial Undergraduate Research Program (IURP) in 1984.

My work was on telephone telecom research for wafer-scale private branch exhange prototypes, performing research and design for a VLSI PBX Tl interface under my own direction. I prototyped and evaluated various designs in TTL and the final optimized design was demonstrated in CMOS test chip.
