Travel because it makes life seem longer
I hit much of Europe while backpacking the summer after I graduated Georgia Tech and I probably have forgotten some stops. Some have combined (East and West Germany) since my first and most recent visit so that's three countries even though it's only "Germany" on the 196 current countries (as of 2012). Others have split (Czechoslovakia) so it is problematic how to count that (I was only in the Czech side so does that count as 1 or 2?). The second big batch of countries came while I was working in South-East Asia for The Coca-Cola Company. That landed me in several countries where I only got to see the airport (Japan, Hong Kong, Mumbai) so I don't count those. I can only remember 26 countries; I don't always travel with a camera.
