Don't Beg on MARTA - Industrial
On the last Friday of this month I found out that a filmed improvised performance of mine was selected from almost 70 actor submissions for a MARTA Mind Your Manners anti-nuisance campaign. I should get a copy of the video next month. Ka-ching.

Screenings and Distribution
If I Am Your Mirror - Short
Garrett DeHart's If I Am Your Mirror is inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's Tell Tale Heart and was shot all on blue-screen for a neat post-processing effect to make it like an oil painting come to life. You can see the love-child of Poe and the animated oil-painting style of What Dreams May Come at the Atlanta Underground Film Festival. At the Goat Farm, Thursday, 9/13, in the Local Shorts ONE slot (9:30 - 11:30 pm) and I have a cameo in it. Hope you can make it out.

Travel
Congaree Swamp National Park
For something completely different, I spent a few days this month hiking and camping Congaree National Park: beautiful old-growth flood-plain forest (i.e., swamp land). Champion Loblolly pines, Bald Cypress, and Giant Tupulo trees there are amazing -- 100 to 160 feet tall for thousands of acres. I hiked through about 15 miles of it while wearing a heavy coating of DEET insecticide!
With this notch in the belt, I've now visited 37 U.S. National Parks. I've already booked a flight for next month to go to number 38: Nevada's Great Basin National Park.
