More sweetness: received news that on May 2nd the Long Island Film Festival accepted the Mr. Snuggles short film, written and directed by Byron Conrad Erwin. Another feastival, another shot at an award. Fingers crossed.

I'm working on the web site and some marketing materials for Simon Maxwell - Interrogator, written and co-directed by Cecil Davis and starring Starlin Brit. In addition to the usual cast and crew info, I'm having some fun incorporating some content about the Art of Interrogation -- techniques and actual artwork. It also felt good to post the casting call for the remaining roles. Principal photography is set for two weeks August.

Some promotional work is gearing up for the release of the "blackhats" feature film. On May 4th some members of the cast, including me and Errol, were filmed doing interviews about our roles in the movie. These short videos will roll out leading up to the release this summer.

I came across a sweet sci-fi short, Vacuity. Tight short story captured in a good log line: "trapped in a dying space station's airlock, an astronaut must choose between living to see his family again or sacrificing himself to save the lives of his crew."

By shooting the story in a single small, austere set with one on-screen actor, they kept the budget small but results are award-winning. There are some behind the scenes photos here and I've added it to my list of favorite sci-fi shorts. I would be thrilled to make a film of this caliber.
