Human Supply - Teaser
A teaser was released on the 18th for Human Supply, a new series where people are kept alive but as second-class citizens, living in fear that one day their time will expire and they will be placed on the chopping block. The interactive plan is to use audience feedback to drive the story and kill off characters. A full-length trailer will be released next month, until then...
Horror Hotel Invader - Short
There's a teaser posted for the Horror Hotel Invader episode we filmed last month. Check it out below. I love the retro look and sound inspired by The Twilight Zone and science fiction of the 50s and 60s.
Upyri - Web Series
The Upyri web series released their first episode on Feb 1st; I have some excerpts below highlighting the introduction that I narrate. Much like the June trailer, it features editing transitions inspired by comic books, but they also remind me of the motion graphics on the old The Wild Wild West TV show. The production company is gearing up to produce six episodes this year. Episode 2 will screen at the March Get Connected event.

First Person Meets Third Person - Feature
The feature film First Person Meets Third Person begins filming this month. I'm playing a DEA cop opposite lead Anna Kimmel in a handful of two-person scenes. I'm hoping to wrap my character this month (it's only 10 pages) but the rest of the film will take much of the year to capture several seasonal exteriors. That probably means I won't see an IMDb credit for it until 2014.
IsmProv - Live Comedy
Come out Wednesday, Feb 20th, for the next IsmProv show. We'll improvise a comic backstory to whatever big idea -- the 'ism' -- that we get from the audience. Last month it was Surealism; this month, who knows. At 3041 N. Decatur Road, 8PM. $10. Hit me up for a 2-for-1 coupon.

Preserving Christmas - Short
I'm learning lines for Preserving Christmas, a 15-page short by Steven Gallagher that will be shot in March. I've been cast as a vengeful mortician who seems a bit like Dexter with a sling-blade and embalming fluid. So, yep, it’s horror and, yep, I'm the bad guy.

Digital Cinema Unleashed
I really enjoyed being a panelist on Digital Cinema Unleashed, presented by Cinevation Media. The one-day online summit presented a full program of various aspects of cinema production, including a lot of practical stories from the field. I was in the Atlanta Actors Workshop session, hosted by Brent Brooks from 10 am to noon on Feb 23rd. Then I jumped over to listen in on the Indie sessions hosted by Nick Anderson.

Second Screen - Hi Def Stress
If you have a role in Marketing or Software Development, like I do, a very interesting and trending arena is in connecting TV viewing with a "second screen" like a tablet or smart phone. See, for example, Why the Second-Screen Industry is Set to Explode. Personnally, however, it seems to be a horrible habit to get into. One reason: multiple screen use is also a common factor in several high-stress occupations. Much better, I think, to simplify, focus, and savor your time. A nice post about this at Zen Habits: Simplify, and Savor Life.
